Still angry after a few years, Bell keeps trying to win me back

Original review updated by user Jan 13, 2021 Bell always tries to win back service with people they've lost, and continue to do so. I will never return to Bell and if this review prevents at least one customer from ordering from them, I will be happy. I ordered an internet package for the year, and was offered an Ipad during the promo. I had asked specifically if I needed the bundle and was told by the rep I did not. So I signed up expecting not to get a bundle. I didn't want the bundle, just internet, and didn't want the ipad if I had to get the bundle as the monthly payments would have exceeded my budget and essentially cost the same as the ipad. When I started service, they went ahead and signed me up as a bundle customer anyways for extra $$, and refused to put me back on the internet only plan after numerous calls. They said I would have to pay for the ipad to cancel, or just accept the contract as is, and deal with it. They then threatened to send me to collections and wouldn't let me back out of the contract under any circumstances. So I paid for the "free" ipad by paying for the monthly bills and then cancelled promptly as soon as possible. I was told I could not cancel right away, and had to give a months notice, which is complete BS. I eventually got them to cancel anyway, after fighting tooth and nail with a stubborn cancellation department, who could offer nothing except whines about "your going to cancel on me?!" from some rep trying to get all personal and slimy with me. Anyhow, 5 years later and I will never consider going with them again. Their customer service is there so they can say they've done something but is functionally broken. Go with a small provider and send these guys packing. Hey maybe a pipe dream but seriously this anti competitive predatory company should be knocked out of existence. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Sigh. User's recommendation: Avoid At All Costs.
