We had Solar Panels fitted on 15th March 2015, with lots of assurances that they would pay for themselves & would not cost us a penny!! We took out a finance agreement with Creation Finance (organised by My Planet Ltd) with monthly payments of £130.95. We were assured that with reduced energy consumption & bills, Government insentive payments & the Feed in Tarrif (FIT) from our energy company (EDF), the monthly payments would be covered. Well after 10 months we can honestly say that this is NOT happening. We have had 3 FIT payments July 2015 £239.32, Oct 2015 £174.14 & Jan 2016 £41.26 a grand total of £454.72. Our energy bills have not reduce at all & our consumption only dipped a little in the summer as you would expect. The day we signed up to have these panels fitted My Planet were offering a £1000.00 one off payment to cover the first years payments, surprisingly enough this offer was only available if we signed up that day, so I'm sorry to say we did. I have emailed my planet 3 times & the only response I have had is an initial automatic acknowledgement, nothing further. Through the WHICH website I contacted REAL who have informed me that My Planet Ltd are no longer a member of RECC so they could not deal with the complaint. However, they did advise me to cancel the credit agreement I had taken out, which I have done today. They also said to contact HIES as MyPlanet my still be a member with them. I have sent them an e-mail, but have noticed they they are called OUR PLANET LTD on there & not My Planet ltd !!! I can't tell you how upset we are over this, our financial situation in not great & we saw this as a way of saving some money in the future. instead it is will be costing us a great deal, which is why I want this nipped in the bud now. We are not out to claim money back I just want the 16 panels off our roof . We were given your email address by Creation Finance so we are really hoping you can help us.
