Shopping for Volp service. Go with a different company.

On March 20, 2021, I spent time reviewing my options of Residential Volp phone service. AxVoice is very inexpensive, but buyer beware, you get what you pay for. I used Vonage for 2 years and they have easy to reach, great customer service as well as customer retention. This time I chose Axvoice, online comparisons said they had no issues and were a great company, only draw back was customer service only reachable by email. Ordered service on 3/20/21 and had to pay $29.95 for shipping &;;;;; handling for the free phone adaptor. Received a tracking number for USPS (United States Postal Service). On April 1, I check tracking and USPS says was delivered to my porch on March 25. It was not. I checked with neighbors and landlord. I utilized the only option for customer support, I submitted a ticket to Axvoice on 4/1/21 asking how to proceed to get what's needed to use service. No response for 2 weeks, so on April 14 I sumitted another ticket to 3 different departments and also requested a timely reply since I had already waited for a reply for the past 2 weeks. I got a response saying another device could be sent but what if the same thing happened. I replied with facts, lived here 5 years and this is only the 2nd time I've had an issue, plus with the new tracking number I would check daily making it possible for me to catch any issues immediately. The emailed me back to send another $29.95 for them to resend. I responded with acknowledgment that it wasn't their fault I didn't receive the first shipment, but it also wasn't my fault. At my end I have paid $29.95 and recieved nothing for my money. Requsted that this s/h fee be waived and to please try for supervisor approval if the agent working with me could not authorize. I was told the best the company could do was deduct a small portion and I would still have to pay $19.95 and to reply to let them know what my decision was. So I responded with logic. I have used Vonage and experienced great customer support as well as customer retention. I had chosen Axvoice due to low price. Would expect that a customer paying $29.95 to ship a small package throught the post office (doesn't cost anywhere close to that cost) that it would have been insured to cover the customer that is not even able to give a description of the package for a viable search. I will be returning to Vonage for a bit more per month, but a service I know is dependable with a company that I know to be professional. A low price is definately not always better. Stick with what you know to be good. I also requested at the end of my decesion email to cancel or close anything that may still be open in my name with Axvoice. I never did activate the account from the email sent to me as I was waiting on the converter before doing so. I really don't expect this company to last long. Buyer beware. User's recommendation: Pay a little more to get an established company. One you can reach by phone and one that will invest a small amount back into the customer to show appreciation.
