After my experience in dealing with All American Auctioneers & Appraisers, I would NEVER do business with them again nor recommend them to anyone. They have a location in Plainfield and one it Aurora I believe. In January they picked up an entire truckload of nice household furniture and misc household goods. They charged me $150 for this which I paid with a check. The contract they have you sign is completely one sided and is not to your benefit at all. They DO NOT keep track of what they take from you. It is up TO YOU to keep records and photos of everything they take. Otherwise they can say anything and you have no way to prove otherwise. It is now June, and the only payment check from them I have received thus far was for about $100! What a joke! And he deducted the $150 pickup fee again which I had already paid!! I looked at it and thought surely there must be a zero missing! Conveniently, the sparse statement that is sent with your check does NOT include the actual dates the items sold. So you have no way to know if payment was made in a timely manner. Calling the owner on the phone has been pointless. It is clear that he gets angry calls quite often apparently and has developed a finely honed way of putting people off and giving them the runaround. He always requests questions in writing and then never responds. He refuses to give detailed information on the phone even though he has written permission to on file. Apparently the people attending his auctions can barely scrape together enough money for lunch let alone anything else. Be wary of dealing with auction companies people. Check them out thoroughly before doing business with them. Ask to see a copy of the contract BEFORE they load anything. See what kind of people they get on their auction days bidding on stuff. Is anyone bidding good money on anything? I would never hire an auction company again after this bad experience.
