Samsung galaxy s8 lasted seven months

Bought Samsung Galaxy S8 from BuySPRY through the Groupon merchandise portal in November 2019. Verizon Store had some compatibility issues getting it to work, but after several hours of trying managed to do so. In late June 2020, the case split due to battery overheating and swelling. Phone worked enough that Verizon Store was able to transfer to "renewed" Samsung Galaxy S9+ without difficulty. Left defective S8 with Verizon Store for disposal due to possible fire danger with battery... therefore no photo. Did not try to contact BuySPRY support regarding case-splitting issue, figuring that would be a "futile effort."
