I have had my air dryer for just over two years, but only use it very sparingly (to avoid exposing my hair to too much heat). After drying my hair on Sunday morning with my GHD hair dryer, I set my Revlon device to cool, and had been styling my hair for less than 30 second when I detected the distinct and acrid smell of burning plastic. As soon as I had moved the tool away from my face, I spotted FLAMES erupting from the base of the handle. So as to not set my room alight, I raced downstairs; by the time I got to the backdoor, it was so hot to the touch that I threw it out into the garden. I am utterly aghast that something like this can happen. The flames were literally inches from my face. Consider the number of hair products I was wearing and the length of my hair, I am astonished that my hair didn't catch alight. I have contacted Revlon who have given me 14 days to reply to a link that errors every time I try and submit my photographic evidence, so I'm unsure what to do at this point. Any advice would be gratefully received.
