Nov 2020, we hired J&B Equipment, LLC from Moselle, MS to replace our roof with tin and as a result of years of ware, replace facia boards all around and rebuild any areas as needed. Upon agreeing to this request, Jonathan Smith, owner, stated we would be less than 20K, more about 16K and asked for 1/2 upfront to buy supplies with. A check for 8K was written on Nov. 17, 2020. We have a 1, 500 sq. ft. home, a 2 car carport and a 700sq. ft. "mother-in-law" house on site. All were to be tin roofed. Upon walking on the roof of the carport, a employee of J&B, fell into a hole and it was discussed that the entire roof should be removed and rebuilt prior to the tin roof. Ok, permission to rebuild carport was given. We have paid $26, 700, to date for this job... that we were told would take a "couple of weeks" to complete. Today is April 22, 2021 and we have not seen ANYONE from this contractor company on our site in WEEKS!!! We got his info and contact from YOU and we feel as if we have been taken advantage of for the money and have heard of contractors taking the clients money before, but we thought Home advisors was a reputable company... we have nothing nice to say!
