Original review posted by user Jun 29, 2021 I was given a new straightener curling iron from a friend for my birthday. The directions say to charge it for 24 hours prior to use. An hour after I had plugged it in my mother in law came telling us that there was a fire. The battery on the strightner busted open causing a fire which we had to put the flames. It burnt through the massage chair sitting by the wall and it burnt my digital camera and my TV and cell phone I've talked to Conair corporate representives and they. Have done absolutely nothing to rectify the situation User's recommendation: Do not buy this product.
