Promised magazines & free gifts cashed our check but never received anything & now they turn me over for collections

This company sent an advertisement saying you can get their magazine and free gifts for joining. I sent in a check to them & never received anything. When I received a bill I emailed them but no one ever responded & now I get a bill from a collection agency called rmcb [protected] apparantely I am not the only person this company has scammed & this is totally wrong
