Same thing happened to me. Then the Apple TV started acting up and after 56 hours over a period of 3 weeks on the phone I had to send it to Apple to repair and return the device. The device came back and then decided it Only served the US and its territories for 24 hours where I couldnt watch TV for 24 hours until it reset, and now it will not add volume for 4 minutes after turning it on. Now I have it drive 20 minutes to a service center to have them test it before they will finally agree its a defective unit. It is a piece of garbage and Apple is NOT customer centric because they do not have to be. Buy a Roku. Apple is awful. User's recommendation: Do Not Purchase Apple TV.
