Poor Cust. Svc. / Poor Shipping Amounts & Timeframes

Okay, so I have been ordering from Sundance Catalog for more years than I care to count, back in the days when you received a catalog in your mailbox and called in to place your order, before the joys and conveniences of ordering from your smartphone or computer...so, ALOT of years. In the past 5 years I have noticed a recurring pattern with this company...I will see something (or several things) that I really love and just HAVE to purchase, I will place an order, I will wait a couple weeks before actually getting to RECEIVE the order in my mailbox because their shipping is RIDICULOUSLY SLOWWWWW, I will excitedly open the package expecting to be blown away, but I am usually NOT, and will have to return at least 1 item, if not ALL of them at times (because the sizing on clothes/shoes is either WAY OFF or the quality matches nothing in person to what it appears online), the return shipping timeframe takes another 2 weeks to get to them and then once they receive the package it takes them another 2 weeks to process the refund, so we're looking at a whole month return process, usually in which time I have to call them several times to check on it and actually get it processed (they have "lost" my return on several occasions), then once they actually do process my refund it takes an additional 3-5 days to "post to my account", I will then become disgusted with the ENTIRE 2 month long process of ordering something I didn't like from Sundance, so I'll cancel my email and catalog subscriptions from them, usually for about a year and then I'll make the mistake of giving them another chance, being added back on to their emails/catalogs, seeing something else that I just HAVE to have on one of their sales, and starting this ridiculous process all over again!!!!! Shame on me, I just did it AGAIN!!!!! I placed an order on Sunday with "regular" shipping (because I REFUSE to pay their RIDICULOUS amounts for expedited shipping - especially when their regular shipping is ALREADY RIDICULOUS!), received an email on Thursday that my order shipped the day before on Wednesday...2 days after my order has "supposedly" shipped out it is still sitting at Sundance according to the tracking info. So I made the mistake of calling Brandy with Customer Service to check on the shipping status of my order, oh my gosh was that a mistake! She was VERY RUDE, explaining to me that "because you did not order expedited shipping" that they have 5-7 business days from the day it ships out to get my order to me. When I said to her that usually when I receive the email that the order has shipped the tracking info is already showing movement, she responded by saying "I am well aware of how our shipping information works" ...?!?!?! ...what kind of smart-alleck response is that?! ..when I inquired as to why my package is still sitting at Sundance and FedEx hasn't received it yet, she then proceeded to lie to me to tell me that it is at the FedEx hub in Salt Lake?! ..I asked her to verify the tracking number for me because mine wasn't showing it had even been picked up by FedEx yet ..I had the tracking number correct.. she then said to me we have 5 to 7 business days to deliver your order, so even if it sits in the hub for 5 days, we still have 2 more days to deliver it to you before anything can be done ?!?!.... needless to say the call ended with me MORE UPSET than I was when I originally phoned. Sundance Customer Service Reps have become so pompous and arrogant over the years, especially for this company to have the WORST Shipping in the ENTIRE WORLD!!!! I order from various online companies weekly for all sorts of things, especially clothes/shoes/jewelry, the same items Sundance has - I even order from Poland, Russia, UK and I get their packages QUICKER than I do Sundance's!!!!! And I NEVER pay for expedited shipping with anyone, including other countries ...so why in the world does it take Sundance Catalog SOOOOO LONGGGGG to ship out orders of items that are IN STOCK?!?!?!?! I placed the order Sunday, it is Friday (5 whole business days later) and it hasn't even left their building yet??!? ...and now I am going to have to wait ANOTHER 5-7 business days (which will end up being 2 weeks mark my word!) to get it in my mailbox!!! ...and I have this funny feeling that they are NOT going to fit, AGAIN! and I am going to be going through that RIDICULOUS Month-long Returns Process AGAIN!! ..that will be almost 30 bucks just to have the pleasure of trying something on!! and during this whole 2-month process of order-to-return they are getting to "hold on to" my 170 bucks (btw these are "sale" prices for 2 pairs of jeans! "sale" prices?! yeah right, after shipping and sales tax is added they end up being "full price"!?)!! ....like I said, SHAME ON ME for doing this ALL OVER AGAIN!!!! I just keep crossing my fingers and HOPING that they will get better each time, but I honestly think they are getting WORSE every year!!!!!!!!!! I can't even believe they are still in business if this is how they treat all their customers ...unless I'm just one of the unlucky few that KEEP having bad experiences with them?? :( User's recommendation: It's hit or miss with this company - I hope you have better luck than I have!!
