My mother passed away in 2016. Because of a medical condition before death she did not add another person on her checking account. I was told after 3 yrs the money would be sent to the state, at which time the family could claim the money. Now 5 yrs later we are still waiting. No one will give you a direct answer. And, PNC is collecting interest on my families behalf. User's recommendation: DO NOT BANK WITH PNC.
