I had started with palemtere bros in Jan 07, when I signed up by the recruiter I had told them that I had a sick husband at home and that I couldnt leave him for a long period of time and that i would need to go hme to pick him up out of orientation, they assured me that was not a problem, well evidentally it was a problem as they sent me to WA to recover a truck and from there to mo to pick up a load to ms, thinking this was good to get me home, wrong again they sent me back to mo for another ld, each time I told them i had to go home, they told me it wasnt their problem that their only problem was getting freight delivered on time after about three weeks of this i told them i really needed to go home and they had gotten me a ld to shreveport, La, which I thought was good as I only lived 70 mi from there (Texarkana). After I del there they sent me to dallas, I asked if i could go by house to get husband they told me no...I told themI would even pay for fuel for the out of route miles and they told me no again, so at that point I had enough of their "not my problem" attitude i took the truck to texarkana and cleaned it out and told them their truck was no longer my problem and that if they didnt care about their drivers and their concerns any more than they did they could have it. Palmentere Bros is a good company for someone who doesnt have a family or any problems and wants to be treated and talked down too all the time.
