My husband and I have purchased a Palliser recliner and sofa from Haynes Brother's in Ormond Beach. The entire set was a showroom floor sample and purchased at a lower price but still under original warranty. The set was being sold due to leather color being discontinued. We were told the piece would be left in the showroom until delivery as it was much safer there then being moved around to delivery center. When rec'd the recliner had multiple "ink" marks on the back leather and a broken power cover (very small) and would later be glued by salesperson (Parry) at my home during delivery. The recliner leather issue was addressed by their technician (Lester) which actually made the matter worse as he painted over the leather after trying to clean/remove ink marks. I even altered the grain where it was overly rubbed. I called Haynes brothers warehouse and have been in communication to resolve the issue. Now bear in mind this whole experience has been extremely stressful due to the salesperson and tactics. They stated I can choose another recliner with credit given and purchase another separate extended warrantee or keep the original recliner as is with extended warrantee. What can I do as it's a brand new house and now another chair will be a different color and more money spent at their store. Ugh
