They don't tell you ahead of time it is a 3 year contract. When you try to switch companies is when you find out you actually have a 3 year contract that renews on a yearly basis.They charge annual fees without notice, and add on fees like Reg Comp. Run, run the other way, and don't get stuck like we did. Then when you try to cancel you are stuck paying the Reg Comp fee and the statement fee until the 1 year contract is over.
