Outrageous Deposit $275 to turn power on for 3-4 days repairs

I just called and spoke to Xavier who issued an order to turn power on at my house tomorrow 5/15. He gave me a new account number 210920****. He explained the initial $27 fee. He went on to say a $275 deposit would be due in 10 days. I explained that repairs are being done and power will be turned off in 3-4 days. I nicely asked for a Supervisor. Xavier said none were available. I asked him to give my number to a Supervisor so I could discuss it. Xavier offered to explain the policy. I said that I have lived at that house 10 years. I bet I know the policy. It is refunded after 12 months with no more than 1 disconnect notice. Still, when one is out of state in Virginia working for Amazon and trying to make repairs to a house $275 due in 10 days for 3-4 days of electrical service definitely seems excessive. If Gulf Power would like to respond that would be great. My number is on my account. Liza Van Brussel Acct 210920**** User's recommendation: Not sure right now.
