Oscillating fan broken

What kind of warranty exists on The allen + roth Marina Cove 18-in Plug-In Oscillating Indoor/Outdoor Wall Mounted Fan? I purchased this through Lowes, and the mount that hold the fan to the oscillating arm sheared off during normal use. I was wondering if this was covered by you guys? Lowes says they cant take it back, but this cant be the first time this has happened. User's recommendation: Look around for other options.
