I cracked a tooth about 12 years ago. It was a hard seed that lodged between two teeth on the upper right side, toward the front. I checked a U.S. dentist, who said I needed $7000 worth of work. Yeah, no thanks. I went to Mexico (Tijuana), since I was in San Diego. They did a $75 filling that lasted about 10 years. Fast forward to Golden, CO. The filling had finally come out. I had medicaid, and the nearby "Comfort" Dental said my yearly $500 allowance would cover fixing it. Since I was numb, I didn't notice much. But, afterward, I noticed the entire upper right side (about 1.5") was smooth, but not enamel smooth. They had gouged like 3 other teeth and then filled in a long strip of whatever they use. Since it felt ok, I didn't think much about it. But, NOW in the last few days, that WHOLE 1.5" hurts like heck, especially if I drink something cold. I think underneath the entire area has become infected maybe.
