Offered a fake betting product -> SCAM!

I got a call from a Nigerian named Chad on the subject of betting on the ATP Australia Open. 'Chad' told me that if I use his service to bet on the ATP Australia Open, he could guarantee a return of 500% or more. Which convinces me of nothing but the fact that it is a scam. I like watching the ATP Australia Open, sometimes I even like betting on it. But I don't like letting other people manage my money, especially if they are from a Nigerian scam. I mean come on, the guy was asking for $5,000 up front as a minimum. In what way is that professional, or even legal?
