Me and my wife have been going to the tom thumb in Rowlett, TX for years and eveeybody there always nice and helpful. On 10-18-2019 we heard about the new one in heath, tx so decided we would try it and due to my schedule its usually close to closing when we can get in. We had been shopping and i guess the asst. Manager drew came around the corner and said he guys yall are a little late. When my wife said we were about to come check out he said he already closed the registers and couldnt. We explained they didnt announce closing on intercom and a black man employee agreed and told him they didnt announce it. All drew would say is he was sorry nothing about the sale items we were going to miss out on due to his employees not following rules. And the worse thing is the cashier seen me walk by 3 or 4 times. Drew didnt ask how we were gonna pay, ive worked in retail and know he could have checked us out and run our card and it would be on the register later or offered to let us come back and still get sale prices but no nothing. I wont go back to that store and might just stick with kroger i mean we drive like 29 miles one way to go to rowlett and heath was 24 miles one way have to really think hard since kroger is only 14 miles. It will depend if anyone contacts me or not.
