Non delivery of houston chronicle and new york times
1
I understand that Doorfront Direct has the contract for delivering the daily Houston Chronicle and also the New York Times, which I receive on Sunday. Last week (April 5 to 11, 2021) I did not receive my physical Chronicle 5 of the 7 days, including Sunday. Because I missed Sunday, I also missed delivery of the NY Times. I reported each missing paper on the Chronicle web site, as well as emailed them repeatedly and called them a few times. Each time, they claimed that they "contacted the carrier but have received no response." Now this week, April 14 and 15, I've also missed delivery of my papers. It has been reported to the Chronicle once again. They claim there is nothing they can do beyond emailing the carrier, which they've already done. I have never received worse service in my life, especially in light of the fact that they have recently raised subscription rates! If this continues I will have no choice but to drop my subscription entirely. My address is 4209 Eigel St., Houston 77007. This needs to be taken care of immediately, the individual carrier fired, or replaced, or whatever you need to do, but something needs to be done, or you will be responsible for the Chronicle losing a customer. Thank you, Gail Bergan
