No return or exchange after 7 days even if it is their mistake

I have been a loyal Miele vacuum cleaner customer for over 10 years. The vacuum is excellent. The customer service is the opposite. In a recent order using their very website, they sent me a wrong item (among other correct ones). I discovered their mistake much too late. The customer service refused to allow an exchange after 7 days. I am stuck with an expensive useless part. I will order from their vendors instead of their website from now on. If possible, I will look for an alternative brand vacuum cleaner in the future. User's recommendation: Check your order upon delivery ASAP.
