No confirmation # or order # at time of order; no email confirming

Placed an order online for Large Print RD for friend for Christmas. Never received a confirmation, never received an order # and have not received an email confirming order. I am told by customer care it can take 24-48 hours before I will see the order # and she does not know why I did not get an order #.. Readers Digest, please step into the 21st century or find an IT person who can help you supply the necessary information at time of order and by way of email after order is placed. Good product, lousy service for online orders
