Never recommend anyone to visit Jerry’s Toyota even if you’re just planning to buy a certified car. I purchased a certified Toyota Camry XLE (2012) from Jerry’s Toyota Belair Rd. I went their place based on a call from their internet sales specialist. It was already 6:30 PM that evening, so they were in so much of hurry to complete the deal on finance and interest rate. Even I didn’t get a chance to bargain on the car price. The bad part is they never mentioned about 6 years of financing tenure but when I was signing the agreement, I noticed that fact. I didn’t have insurance so I started setting up online insurance that time, just after 5 minutes of time they came to me and said “we’ll give you free insurance for one month of time”. Why? Because they need to close as it’s already late. I agreed. Once everything done and I’m about to leave their place with the car, the sales rep guy came and said it seems they have only one key of the car the another one is still with the old owner, they are working on it. He promised that once get the key, he’ll call me and handover the key ASAP. Note, he could have told me this before signing the agreement and all but when he did, it’s all over! I left the place with the hope that I’ll get my 2nd key very soon. After a week I called the Sales Rep then he told me, no luck on it anyways we already gave you one month of free insurance which is $300. I said who asked you to do that? Am I? After that I called so many times to the Manager of the certified used car division but I never heard any positive from them instead “we gave you $300 insurance for free..” Even I called the finance manager who promised me to solve this issue before signing the agreement second time due to some mistake happened first time in the paper work. He is now saying it’s not his part; he already conveyed this message to the manager. Question, then why you said you already ordered the key for me? I never imagine a big dealer can run like this way then there is no sense to go to the certified dealer. I put over 20K which is close to a new car price with higher interest rate (14%) and after all these they said it comes with one key only. I didn’t bargain the price too. They are saying they gave me free insurance for a month. Who asked them to do that? I can take it my own, I never asked them. Why not they told me about the missing of 2nd key before signing the agreement? Even there is a problem in the front bumper and a small scratch in a door, I informed the sales rep, he said “you maybe hit the ice and it happened in that way…” how funny!!!! Enough, now slowly I digested that the fact like big dealer with name of Toyota also doing the same as small roadside used car sealers but the good part is the small sealers are at least dealing with honesty! So I will never recommend anyone about Jerry’s Toyota!
