I have also had to file several complaints against YV with several agencies. As did my son's private psychologist. Reports were made to DCS for negligence in that he was starving and emaciated. He was 4' 8" and weighed 54 pounds. He had been residing at the YV Bartlett campus for close to a year at that point. Reports were made to the Tennessee State Licensing Board due to unlicensed persons posing as licensed counselors, therapists and social workers. Reports made to TBI and FBI for improper physical and chemical restraint of minors. I have letters from these agencies stating that my complaints were founded and that measures were being taken to correct these issues. I have gone to several news agencies with evidence of everything I have stated here. Not one news person has ever returned my calls or emails. I will not give up! My child and the thousands of other children that have been neglected care due to the collusion between Youth Villages , TennCare and DCS need us to speak for them. This has to change. Every child matters. Every child deserves appropriate medical care!! The pictures I have added shows how thin my son was at the time of the DCS complaint. How drugged he was at the time of the Federal and State complaints and how they dressed him whenever I would pick him up to take him to his psychologist. I would have to wait for an hour or more for him to change and we would miss his appointments. A photo of why he was complaining of sore feet and was not walking right. A serious lack of hygiene.
