My HP Officejet printer constantly says that scanning has been disabled

I phoned HP customer service for help, however they kept phoning me at random times when I was at work and unavailable, so I explained politely that I would need a specific time in order to be available. Finally received an email with a time, made myself available, but no call from HP. Then received an email saying because I was unavailable the case had been closed. Apalling User's recommendation: Dont buy HP.
