Mower wont self propel after storage

I stored my yard machine vertically by hanging it to garage ceiling from the handle. When I took it down for use, it wont self propel. Sense, a drive belt might have slipped of a shaft or something like that. I can use some guidance on what to look gor and where. Other than this the machine works great. Iam very happy with it. Thanks for your anticipated reply Michael.
