Motor bearing failure

3

3 year old machine had been working well. Plugged it in a few days ago and it didn't run. It's not designed to be taken apart, but I figured out how and discovered that the tiny permanent magnet brushless motor has 2 tiny ball bearings that moisture had gotten into and had seized. Wrote to Dynatrap and they'd do nothing. Found the bearings (8mm OD/3mm ID) on eBay for $3 delivered. Running like new. Should use sealed bearings...crappy choice. User's recommendation: Replace the bearings every several years.
