Missing piece

I had bought my boyfriend the kobalt mechanics set , tools with tool box and as we were putting the pieces in their spots we noticed we have a duplicate but no were to put it and are missing one of the sockets In size 1/2 we received to 3/8ths instead when theres only a slot of one.
