Misleading door to door salesperson
*SOLVED
2
On 10/04/2013 a Just Energy door to door salesperson came to my house. She asked to see my current energy bill. I showed it to her. She stated that Just Energy could lock my current CCF rate at 0.24cents, because that was the rate on my current bill with DTE at that time. I said OK, but it states on this contract that the rate will be 0.59 cents per ccf. She told me, it does but call Just Energy when you get the transfer letter and they will adjust your rate to the 0.24 cents because you will be a variable rate customer. Because you will be a variable rate customer, you can lock in that 0.24 cents rate. She even wrote that on my contract when I was signing up, because I was not sure. Which i am attaching a copy of. When I called Just Energy to lock in the 0.24 cents rate, i was told i was misinformed and that Just Energy could not give me the 0.24 cents rate becuse that rate was with another energy carrier, not them. I told Aldo, my customer service person, why would i sign up with someone to pay more than double what i pay now. Thats just stupid. He was sorry. Sorry he could not give me a better rate, sorry my sales person was misinformed, sorry i was cancelling with them. I am really upset that a company will flat out lie to customers just to get them to sign up, and get away with this.
