Member update promises

We went to a member update presentation Nov. 22 , 2018. We were promised among other things to receive reimbursement of $859 US in maintenance fees . However when we went to collect our "gifts" we were presented with 1000 "vida dollars".When we said we were to get US $ they said "no your invitation does not say cash" what a ripoff , I told them I did not consider their "play money" to be equivalent to US $ in any way
