I had an appointment with Valeria Korshunova at Psychiatric Associates LLP and attended the appointment and provided my insurance co-pay of $10. I can only see this provider on my lunch time at work (which they were made aware of) and on that day they did not inform me of any delays. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I approached the receptionist and told her that I was here for the appointment at 11:30 a.m. and now must leave because I am on my lunch and have to get back to work for a meeting. They told me she would be out in "2 minutes" and I waited for about 5 but she never emerged frm behind closed doors. I had been a cient of this doctor for about 1 year, suffereing from depression and anxiety. When I left the office I was out of my meds and have since been suffering from withdrawal symptoms. Afterwards, I received a bill for $210 (more than what the insurance is billed for), claiming I missed my appointment. I tried calling the office and expressing my frustration, at not only the bill, but the doctor's treatment towards me. This MD even stated to me in a session that I was one of the worst patients she had ever seen. I even asked if they would let me see another doctor in the practice, wrote a formal letter of dispute to this business however no one had the courtesy to respond to my concerns at all. I feel very angry and taken advantage of. This MD was so nasty and rude to me, belittling me during our therapy sessions. She made my condition worse and now they refuse to *** or reduce the $200 balance for an appointment I was present for, and it is not my fault she was running behind on this day. This is very disgraceful and I want everyone to know what this doctor is really all about and she does not care about her patients at all!!! If there must be a fee charged then I can understand that but to take my co-pay and then charge me more than what the insurance is billed for, seems unethical to me! And the fact the won't even try and work with me on this is even worse!
