Dr Mina who owns the clinic became very upset with me when I brought my cat in just before closing after being mauled by a stray dog. He told me they were just about to leave and if I decided to leave her and he choose to take her in I would be charged an emergency fee. I handed her to the receptionist who took her to the back and returned to have me sign the paperwork. I was told that I could pick her up the next day near closing so she could have time after the surgery and be watched for complications. When I returned almost 20 hours later she was in surgery!! When I finally got her she was bleeding from her freshly sewn wounds. That means my cat had been stuck in a cage for 20 hours opened up and bleeding from being mauled and nearly a day later her wounds were finally surgically closed. I was speaking with another lady about the issue and she had a somewhat similar experience many years ago with Mr Mina when the vet office was called by another name East Hawaii Vet. Apparently they had to change names because of the multiple complaints against East Hawaii Vet. and Mr Mina. Changing the name hides who you are but you're still the same rotten vet.
