Two out of ten dual pain windows failed. They leaked, got misty and then finally became completely opaque and streaked. The worst part is that the contact with the service dept that takes care of lifetime warranty are very aggravating. The first contact person is flippant and seems to revel in acting like she enjoys being unhelpful. You pay thousands of dollars after researching a company thinking that a lifetime warranty will give you some security only to find an uphill battle to actually accomplish that. They know theres really no money in backing up their product so they couldnt care less. I had an appointment #3 to actually replace two windows and I call the company which also takes awhile because their phone number is buried deep in their website, and the card they left with my husband is long gone. No one calls to confirm my appt for tomorrow and when I call to confirm their receptionist says theres no one here to answer your question theyre all gone for the day I call at 4:00pm and their website (which is all about sales) says theyre open 08:00 until 5:00pm. I ask well there is no one there who can confirm my appt for tomorrow? No, they all went out to a conference. Youll have to call back tomorrow at 8:30. Thats it- period. No one there that can check a schedule or anything. This is the typical type of contact Ive been having with this company, like pulling teeth. Buy from someone else if you want honest, stand-by your product type of a company. I would NOT recommend them. User's recommendation: Do not buy Milgard.
