On 9/5/2020 I moved from another state to Durham NC in which I've a Sherman as my point of contact. Everything was smooth until the day i arrived that I come and storage unit had the master lock on it! I had just spoken to Sherman and told him the time I will arrive and confirm my storage unit. He even said he will provide me with a lock so I didn't have to purchase one. I get there at 630 pm had to WAIT 3 hours OUTSIDE with my THREE MINOR children in the heat and my movers because of the master lock still being on the unit. I made several call to the emergency number they have outside and all told me that they couldn't do anything but leave message on the store manager voice mail. After requesting to speak to management and asking for corporate number I was told they didn't have a number. So. Sherman finally shows up after 3 hours asking me how do "i"want to rectify this in which HE should be telling what they are going to be doing for ME. After waiting with my kids hungry as he'll and hot all extra storage space is willing to do is feed us some cookout and comp my storage for two months??? Not willing to compensate the cost for my movers have not did a follow-up call JUST HORRIBLE!!! HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL REACH OUT AFTER THIS OR MAYBE I SHOULD SEEK PUNITIVE! User's recommendation: I will not recommend.
