We made contact with Lakeshore Lifestyles at the Cottage & Lakefront Living Show in Grand Rapids at the DeVos Place in March 2015. We had Jamey Dulin come out and give us an estimate for a steel roof in April. In June after meeting with several contractors and getting several bids we signed a proposal for work to be completed in mid July with Lakeshore Lifestyles. From the beginning they were very difficult to get in touch with and did not return numerous calls or messages we left asking them to call. July passed with no work done and no contact. They finally called us back to let us know it would be August before they could do the work. Work was still not even started as promised in August and our calls to inquire were not answered or returned. We finally made contact again at the end of August and a promised date of the 2nd week of September was given and we were told that materials had already been ordered and that they would call with a confirmed delivery and installation date and would collect our down payment for materials at that time. At this point, thank goodness, we had not given them any money because we no longer trusted them. We expressed our frustration with them for never returning our calls and let them know we couldn't do business this way. Jamey Dulin promised he would be in touch this time and would return our calls promptly. He also gave excuses that their phones weren't working properly although we called and their voice mail box would be full and then would be available the next time we'd call. This indicated to us that they had gotten our messages. We received no call from Jamey over and over again and still to this day have not received a call back from him to even try to explain why. We left so many messages on their business machine I can't even count them. We had to find someone else to do our roof and were hard pressed because it is now the end of summer and no installation dates are available. We lost the entire summer while dealing with this and still have no new roof! This company is very, very, very unreliable and unprofessional! Do not do business with them because they cannot be trusted!
