Are your thinking about buying Cabinets?? DON'T!! Please Read. I purchased Ikea Cabinets 10 years ago. Big mistake. I took the "25 Year Warranty" as a compelling reason to buy them. Well, fast forward 10 years and ALL the thermo foil cabinet fronts failed, not just the lower ones but all. I do not use a"mop with a bucket of water" as accused by a floor manager, I use a Bona system.. I don't mop my walls or cabinets either, I have a housekeeper who cleans and drys them with a damp and dry cloth. Anyway, they FAILED! So after a manager attempted to strong-arm me when I just came in on a fact finding mission, I escalated the discussion to Christopher Durran who is a manager of Customer Service? Anyway, I submitted an in-depth collection of pictures documenting the total failure of the cabinets as well as showing all lower kick boards were in perfect shape and connected the cabinets to the floor.No damage. (Obviously, some of us have moved beyond the archaic cleaning methods). After a week of waiting for Ikea to render a decision, it came back to me as Ikea will not warranty cabinets as they have been around water..Hmm, I have cabinets in my kitchen and bathroom and both have water and steam.. The most ridiculous exclusion ever! Who has a kitchen or bathroom with no water? What a scam. Shame on you Ikea for misleading warranties, disrespectful floor managers and being just another corporate giant that screws over the little guy to maintain corporate profits. Here's a novel idea, do what is right and stand behind your products and back your warranty. Don't create a false sense of product integrity and and being a caring company that has morals and cares about client satisfaction. Admit it, you'll screw over anyone to make a buck.
