Bought 2 desks and 2 chairs from James Smith Office furniture with supposedly a 5 year guarantee. Well 6 months later and one of the desks starts to bow. OK so I call James Smith Office Furniture and demand a refund, and all they can offer is a repair. THE DESK IS BROKEN for crying out loud, replace it!! Done some research and it turns out this is not uncommon. Went to a company called Inter County Office Furniture, the page is here http://www.intercounty.com/office_desks and there is a good explanation on the site about why the desks with 1 support bow a lot. What I want to know is if this is a problem that is understood - WHY ARE COMPANIES STILL SELLING THEM?!!!!! James Smith Office Furniture. Avoid.
