We visited San Pedro Belize and then moved there and trusted a hotel/condo owner (Milo Paz) and put $60, 000.00 USD cash in escrow for option to buy condo there. We returned to the US and after talking with our professionals here were advised to withdraw from the deal. The owner there was unwilling to discuss refund so we went to the BTB (Belize Tourism board) for help. Finally almost a year later we reached a settlement agreement with seller (Milo Paz). Now after a 10% down payment we have found nothing but empty promises and it seems no one there can help, the seller even ignores the BTB and his own lawyers. DON'T go to Belize Please! We have other horror stories after having lived there 6 months such as the murder of a Spanish traveler that was almost immediately covered up etc.
