I’m trying to find out what happened to a claim on a defective belt I sent in

The belt was purchased at JCPenney I spent $45 on it it's a reversible belt Brown on one side blank on the other made by Levi's it stands right into the leather I sent it in I was told within 5 days of them receiving it I would leave you have my belt back or response I haven't gotten it and it's been about five to eight weeks now I called she told me was made by a secondary manufacturer and they will be sending me a new belt and that was over a week ago I'm wondering what's going on
