Identity Theft – reported

1

I was a victim of identity theft. Someone opened an account at First Premier Bank in my name and bought some things at Walmart. When I received an invoice from First Premier about 6 months ago, I contacted them and told them that I had not applied for, received nor used their credit card. I was told to make a police report and was sent a form from their Fraud or Security people. I made the police report, filled out the form including the police report number. I figured that would be about it, but First Premier continues to call and send invoices with exorbitant fees and interest rates. I have spoken to them repeatedly informing them of the identity theft and the fact that I didn't ask for, nor receive and card a certainly have not used the card that I do not have. They simply ignore my letters and phone to them and just continue to pile on the $39 late fees and sky-high interest rate. I would avoid this Bank if I were you. They are unscrupulous at best and collaborators at worst. User's recommendation: Avoid doing business with them.
