I received a letter from ComEd saying my electric supplier was being changed to Great American Power. I have often had power company reps knock on my door (I don't remember which companies) but I don't want to change and have never told any of these people that I do want to change suppliers. I had to talk to both ComEd and Great American Power to prevent this from happening. I think Great American Power should be sanctioned, fined, whatever to stop them from switching people without people's knowledge. For some reason, electric suppliers are allowed to switch people without any paperwork supporting it. This is some boondoggle Illinois set up to allow other suppliers to access customers, but it has gone too far. This is the second time in two years that I've had to step in to prevent being switched without my knowledge or approval.
