After my husband's death in 2020, I requested that services be transferred to my name as I had done with the gas and electric. I did not own the residence but wanted an alarm system. I was told they didn't transfer services, I would have to purchase my own equipment. Which I agreed to. Six months after my husband's death, I moved to an apartment, notified ADT to cancel services. ADT said fine, you owe us $1,680. They had signed me to a 3 year contract, without my knowledge. I asked to see the contract and received a copy with my computerize signature. I am still paying $52.07 a month. Just be aware. User's recommendation: If an ADT representative can't meet with you in person and go over the agreement, cancel the call.person.
