I cosigned a car loan for a women from our church that had no car so it was difficult for her to find employment. Obviously she was a credit risk. She always made her payment usually late along with a huge late payment fee (over $100 every month). She was down to only $1000 left on her loan (originally $13,000) and nothing had changed in her payment pattern....late every month with a BIG penalty. Frost arbitrarily debited the remaining balance from my account. Not sure why when they had her car title as collateral. I cosigned her loan...I was not the guarantor! If I was the guarantor, I could understand debited my account. That's ok, but as the guarantor they have no business reporting her late payments on my credit report. Yes they can if I'm the cosigner but not the guarantor. On numerous occasions I explained that I was helping someone in need and promised they would get their money. Evidently Frost only cares about money and not people. Don't feel bad for me, in 2006 I sold my company and I got $25,000,000. I followed my long time banker to Frost only to have her retire. I'm obviously what you would call a preferred customer however, no one from Frost ever tried to develop a relationship with me. 6 years ago I started another business and have over $2,000,000 per year in deposits and have borrowed over $400,000 (yes I guaranteed it) and I'm so happy to say that it's with Pinnacle Bank. Great people and yes I'm treated really well and everyone knows my name when I walk in. Frost is horrible!
