HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH-EXPEDIA SHOULD NOT BOOK WITH THEM

I had read some reviews on other sights so almost canceled but thought I would not have the problem with insurance since I went out of my way to have my policy on my phone, an email from my agent reaffirming that my car insurance covers rental cars, and the policy information from my credit card that explains the coverage. There is absolutely nothing you can provide to them that will satisfy them so that they do not charge for the insurance. I was paying $198.00 total including tax and the insurance was an additonal $164.45. Plus a charge of $250. for a deposit which is supposed to be refundable. Will see. The instructions on where to go to get the shuttle in Fort Lauderdale are NOT correct. They have one shuttle so I waited about 35-40 minutes for the ONE shuttle. There is one agent to book and since it is a big pressure game about the insurance it took an hour for me to finally get the car. I had to sign the form or I would not get a car. The agency is in a dirty strip mall several miles away from the airport. This was at 6 pm and my day had started at 5 am so it wasn't feasible to leave without a car at that point. The car I was given had been returned while I was waiting, had not been cleaned, etc. When the agent saw that the car was full of trash, brochures, etc. he moved me to another car which started the paperwork all over again! I booked through Expedia and they are not being very helpful YET and it is taking a lot of my vacation time to deal with this plus the upset. How can this company stay in business?
