Horrible Claim Experience
I had a minor accident and filed a claim seven weeks ago. I had a terrible experience with the claim officer and the whole process. I would call and leave a voicemail but never hear back. I had to ask for a supervisor to finally get sent to an independent appraiser, which was 30 miles away from Boston. After I got the estimate and reached out to settle, I was told I will receive a check but I never did. I called back and was told it should come in the mail and that there was mix up. I finally got a check but for what I thought was the wrong amount. I called again and was told that they must have sent the other person's estimate since we both had the same insurance company. I waited for two weeks and called back again today and I was told I got half the amount since we were both at fault and that they will only provide 50% of the estimate. I spoke to a so-called supervisor and he pretty much said there is nothing that can be done unless I can provide a surveillance tape. I'm changing insurance company just as soon as I can speak with my agent tomorrow am. Ridiculous
