Hertz rental Car thought USAA
*SOLVED
1
On April 23 we were traveling from Detroit to Baton Rouge. Due to bad weather American Airlines shifted us to Delta resulting in us arriving over five hours late. We had a car rented through Hertz. I called Hertz to inform them of the delay to see if they would still be open so I can pick up the car. They informed me they would still be open. We landed at 10:30 PM. Hertz was closed. The next day we tried to contact them and no one answered the phone. Hertz downtown Baton Rouge told us Hertz at the airport does not answer the phone. We called Hertz through USAA. When we contacted them they told us the car was no longer available because we failed to pick it. We were unable to rent a car til Monday, meaning we were in a strange city with no transportation for 3 days, and incurred additional charges through Uber and Lyft, plus inconvenience and lots of walking places.
