Gigabyte support will blame you for their defective hardware.
Purchasing a systemboard from newegg is usually an easy and safe bet. Not with Gigabyte systemboards. The board that was purchased had a defective NIC. Gigabyte support kept saying that I was at fault. Even though a picture clearly showed that the BIOS did not detect a layer 1 (physical) connection to a known good LAN cable/Switch port. The board was returned to Gigabyte, which they tested and DID NOT repair. After being blamed again that they returned a still defective board, it was sent back to Gigabyte. This time Gigabyte support said the CPU socket pins were bent and I had to pay more money to repair the damage I caused. A BBB complaint was filed after a call with Gigabyte support failed to resolve the issue. Gigabyte support refused to answer one simple question. How do you fix a defective NIC. Answer: You don't. You replace the systemboard. So even if the CPU socket pins were bent, the new board would resolve both issues.
