Fraudulent Insurance
This healthcare company is completely fraudulent. They advertise for coverage of cancer treatment, yet deny standard of care chemotherapy (infusional and oral) on the basis that the therapy is investigational or experimental. This means that a standard of care chemotherapy regimen that is endorsed by national guidelines may not be covered if the initial FDA approval excluded the cancer diagnosis. This extends to over 50% of first line treatment options. As an oncology pharmacist, I have encountered several patients being denied for standard of care therapies. Ultimately the patients had to absorb the cost of their therapy in the end. This company needs to either disclose this clearly upfront or broaden their coverage. If you are diagnosed with cancer, you may as well be completely without insurance.
