Original review updated by user Jun 22, 2021 AVIS scams its customers I returned my AVIS rental in great condition and their staff faked some blurry photos that looked like tiny white flecks of debris and claimed it was 'animal hair' (their words.) There was no animal or any kind of debris in the car when I returned it. Then AVIS charged my credit card $450 as a 'cleaning fee'. I contacted customer service twice but they won't accept that their staff lied so they could charge a large extra fee. Do not assume 'all rental car companies do this.' I've rented from them all and have not experienced this scam before. User's recommendation: Never rent a car from AVIS.
